The current work investigates spouse similarity for personality traits. 135 married couples (marriage duration from several weeks to 45 years) completed self-rating and spouse-rating scales (EPQ, LC, MACH, SSS). Couples showed law similarity for “perceived assortment” (similarity of cross-ratings). Statistically significant spouse correlations were found for self-ratings of neuroticism 0,19), 5 scales of Locus of control (0,19–0,26), Machiavellianism (0,28), 3 scales of Sensation seeking scale (0,22–0,25).
